The latest job report shows some growth. With nonfarm payroll employment increasing by 216,000, the growth rate is slow but steady. The unemployment rate shows a slight decrease from 8.9 % to 8.8 %. This time last year the report showed a 162, 000 payroll increase and unemployment at 9.7 %. It’s encouraging to see an improvement over the 2010 figures and the job rate moving in the right direction.
