Help in Understanding Federal Employment Laws

Do you have Federal Employment Law questions?Understanding the U.S. federal employment laws can feel overwhelming. This is true for both employers and employees alike. Do you wish you had an expert you could call on at anytime with your questions? Well, thanks to the Department of Labor, you do.

The DOL has a website called eLaws. It’s a fantastic resource that was designed to simulate a discussion you might have with an employment law expert. The areas covered on the site include: Pay & Benefits, Safety & Health, Workplace Posters, Youth Employment, Veterans’ Issues, Government Contractors, and Mining Industry. To begin your “conversation” with an “advisor”, you just click on one of these areas and then choose a topic under the elaws Advisors sidebar.

The elaws Advisors are interactive e-tools that provide easy-to-understand information about a number of federal employment laws. Each Advisor simulates the interaction you might have with an employment law expert. It asks questions and provides answers based on responses given. (from the Department of Labor’s eLaws site)

While it can’t possibly answer every question, the eLaws site is a great tool for finding answers to many of your employment law questions. Check it out today!
